Welcome to Our Website

Ysgol Gyfun Heolddu is an 11-18 comprehensive school serving the communities of Bargoed, Aberbargoed, Gilfach and Deri in Caerphilly. At Ysgol Gyfun Heolddu we are proud to be a warm, welcoming school that has high expectations of all learners in our community. Staff, students, parents and partners work closely together towards our mission statement ‘Achieving Excellence Together’.

Estyn 2018 found that Heolddu “is a caring learning community that promotes inclusivity and wellbeing successfully” and that our pupils are “courteous and respectful towards staff, visitors and fellow pupils. They behave well, arrive promptly to lessons and demonstrate positive attitudes to learning. Pupils are proud to belong to the Heolddu school community”.

If you would like to visit us to find out more about our ethos, provision and wonderful students, please contact the school and we would be delighted to welcome you.
